Foreclosure hunters, this post is for you. I’ve created a link to all currently active foreclosures in the Winchester/Frederick County area. Take a look at the slide show below, but remember you need to act fast. If a hot property comes on the market there will be multiple offers the first day. Tips for getting a good deal:
- Be prepared, make sure you have all your ducks in a row. Meet with your agent and get most of the paperwork out of the way so when the perfect home comes on the market all you need to do is write the offer.
- Have your approval letter from a bank ready. You won’t have time to get pre-approved once you find a place. You may be asked by the seller to get approved thru their bank. No worries, just get it done.
- If it’s undervalued be prepared to come in with your “highest and best”. Don’t be surprised if the seller holds your offer over the weekend or a few days before making a decision. They are in the drivers seat.
- Have patience, it may seem like all the good ones have sold or are out of your reach, but this market is not fully recovered. There’s still lots of opportunity out there. More foreclosures on the way.
